One of the most scenic music festivals in the country, the Telluride Blues & Brews Festival takes place in Telluride, CO, a world-famous resort town in the heart of the Rocky Mountains.  The festival is a three-day celebration of music and microbrews, held in Telluride Town Park, an outdoor music venue with breathtaking 13,000 foot mountain peaks for a backdrop.  By day, experience live blues, rock, gospel and soul performances, the best microbrews in Colorado, a wide variety of food and craft vendors, children’s activities and more – all on festival grounds.  By night, follow the festival as it flows into the town of Telluride, with late night juke joints and after-hours jams.

On The Turn
Drawing on juke-joint blues, swampy-groove country and a lot of rock ‘n’ roll, with stops in gospel and and beat-poet territory along the way, DADDY (Will Kimbrough & Tommy Womack) has been hailed by critics and fans alike for their incendiary live performances and recordings that embrace a wide scope of what's great about American music. Kimbrough’s wide-ranging abilities, sweet and reckless by turns, dovetails with Womack’s slash-and-burn style to produce a sound that has earned the band 2009 slots at SXSW, Tin Pan South, KDHX’s Twangfest & Jubilee Jam.

HOPE AND HERITAGE PROJECT

Raising A City...

It Takes a Village to Raise a City

New Orleanians love New Orleans. Passionately. The New Orleans Hope and Heritage Salon members suggested that we do a media project to transform the negative image that many people have of our city and her citizens. I thought it would be difficult to get people to contribute to the project. Instead, every person involved -- authors, photographers, musicians, the sound recordist and graphic editor -- all donated every bit of their work because they wanted to help rebuild New Orleans.

Together we have managed to manifest this project on a budget of zero dollars in a city where the lights have gone off every few days, where the mail was not delivered and the phones haven't worked.

This is our gift to New Orleans, our home.

It is also a testament to the power of the human spirit.
